As a specialist glass supplier of safety glass, we are a member of the GGF (Glass and Glazing Federation). The GGF is the main representative for companies involved in all aspects of making, supplying or fitting glass products in the UK. Recognised by the Government, the GGF plays a large part in the setting of new standards and regulations that govern the way buildings are constructed in the UK.
As a supplier of high quality glass, one of our key relationships is with the EEF, who is the representative voice of British manufacturing. They work with influencers and decision makers across the UK and EU to ensure that manufacturers continue to work in an innovative and thriving environment.
One of our key partner supplier relationships is with Kuraray: a world-class science and engineering business supplying a global marketplace. Kite Glass has a long-standing relationship with Kuraray; today we manufacture more laminated glass using Kuraray’s SentryGlas® interlayers than any other company in the UK. SentryGlas® interlayers allow us to create glass that is thinner, lighter and more durable than conventional laminated glass.
Virtually from our formation Kite Glass has had close links with the British Standards Institute, hence the choice of our name. Over the years we have assisted with standards research and offered views on standard setting – a strong statement to our relationship with the British Standards Institute, and one that we hope continues for many years to come.
As a specialist in our industry we have also developed a partner supplier relationship with AGC Glass, the world’s largest producer of flat glass. As part of our supplier relationship, Kite Glass has been chosen as one of a few companies to offer a range of AGC fire rated glass.
Everlam make high quality laminating products and supplies PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) interlayers used predominantly within the architectural market.
