Mercedes Benz Stockport

Planning permission was given in 2017 for one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Europe, budgeted at £50m for the 10.5-acre brown field development, located in Brighton Road, Stockport, and adjacent to the M60 Manchester Outer Ring Road. The dealership was developed by Hong Kong-based Lei Shing Hong, a Global automotive retailer and opened in 2019.

Kite Glass worked in partnership to deliver all the glass to this impressive development which has achieved BREEAM environmental standards.

This new purpose-built three-story dealership has two buildings, a 13,492sqm 40 car showroom, and a 17,166sqm purpose-built high-tech Body, Paint and Repair Centre. There is also additional capacity for 100 Approved Used vehicles.

For the lower levels of the building, Kite Glass delivered 150m2 of 20.89mm Clear Low Iron Heat-Soaked Toughened Laminated Polished with an all round SentryGlas® interlayer. For the staircases and upper levels Kite Glass supplied 400m2 of 19mm Clear Low Iron Heat-Soaked Toughened CNC polished and drilled.
